Steps
Chop the spring onion
Chop the entire spring onion into small slices

Mix the marinade ingredients in a sealable bag or container
Add the chopped spring onions and all of the other non-chicken ingredients to a water-tight and sealable container.
Ventilate the chicken

Add the chicken to the marinade, seal the container, and make sure that the all of the chicken is coated.
Let marinate in the sealed container in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to 6 hours
Let the chicken sit refrigerating in the marinade for a minimum of 30 minutes and up to 6 hours, agitating it occasionally to keep all of the chicken coated.

Drain and discard the marinade
After the chicken has had time to soak in the marinade, drain the liquid marinade and discard, keeping in mind the raw chicken.
Rack the chicken in the container
If possible, place a wire rack in an open plastic container (at a slant is ok, probably even preferable) and place the chicken on the rack

Return the open container with chicken to the fridge and let sit until ready
